Let Go

Why?...Why can't I?

Why is it that I fall for you when I see your face?

Why does every time we touch, my heart would race?

I still remember the times you had hurt me,

You left me alone, by myself,

And yet when I see you, everything else...disappears,

Why can't you see my pain?

Why can't you see my tears?

I don't want my love to be the worst of my fears,

I hate that I love you still,

Even when you don't feel the same way I feel,

I hate that I love you so,

But, I just cant let you go,

What's the point in trying,

When your love is unreachable?

Thinking the wrong thing that you were implying,

And my foolish hopes keeping me on the wrong path,

I believed we could have something true,

Have something pure,

But I was heartbroken by you,

Too many times to count,

Yet, I always tried to find a cure,

The love at first felt new and fresh,

As if it would prevail and be at its best,

But now it feels tainted, like rotting flesh,

Sick and diseased, and should be put to rest,

Even though the love has changed, due to so much hinderance,

My foolish heart can hardly find the difference,

The sweetness you hold, renders my eyes,

Until the point when I'm mentally blind,

I can't deal with this anymore,

I feel like the man, lost without Lenore,

Your heart, I wanted,

Your love, so dear,

You don't want me at all,

You made it perfectly clear,

You bring me nothing but sadness and sorrow,

...But why...?

...Why wont I Let Go...?
