I am sunshine mixed with a hurricane

But you can calm my storm and take this pain

When I can’t move mountains and I fell down

You came tumbling after and fix my crown.

 

I am nothing but unlovable mess

While you’re enchanting and born to impress

Despite of my flaws and imperfection

You embraced them all with your devotion.

 

I am forever yours and you are mine

We will face side by side what’s on the line

Our differences can’t conquer us

This is a great love poem (and I'm not even a fan of them). I like it becuz it doesn't sound like the usual predictable romantic rubbish. You present a unique point of view & then fill it in fully to paint a realistic word picture of how relationships are often one person feeling broken & another person helping him/her get thru the toughness of healing. I love that this sounds like a balanced relationship of support, not a codependent kind of "help me, save me from myself" kind of sickness. This sounds like the narrator is being overly modest . . . he's probably not as tarnished as he presents himself . . . but more just wanting to put his partner on a pedestal with his adoration (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
