A Poem by Kia

The search for "Scarlet".

A handsome young lad

A common nomad

Treaded solo

Through barren streets

In hopes that he might

Come upon that dreary night

His dearly and beloved

Though they knew not his name

Or the night that he came

It was prominent

That he would only seek

The one he lusted for

For nothing could mean more

Than his precious and valued

But they swore to show their wrath

As they stayed along the path

Of the steadfast

And fearless young fellow

Who endured the coldest nights

Avoiding the morning light

In search for his dearest

“Thy journey is vile!”

Cried they to the juvenile

But he hastened

Far into the night

Until he left no sound

On their almost holy ground

As his passion lead his search for

It was o’er yonder

The young man did wonder

And there stood

A maiden, naïve and fair

He spoke to her mild

And the lady was beguiled

She did not know he sought for

To her neck so white

The young lad took a bite

Costing the maiden her soul

And from her veins did leak

Long streams, a morbid streak

Of his precious and ever loved

I've been writing poems for a very long time, most of my life, but anything that I write or have ever written has come purely from my heart. I've never written a poem just for the sake of writing a po.. more..
