Cry of the Sea and the Sky

Cry of the Sea and the Sky

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

The sky darkens.
Lighting flashes, it starts to pour.
I am standing on the beach getting soaked, while others are
running not from the rain, or the big balls of hail now falling, but
from the sea itself. I am standing watching not moving not
because of fear but because I long to go to the sea the untamed sea. The
waves are now fifty feet tall. They crash then pull back to the
center of the sea. Where the sea once was is now dry not even the
pouring rain will quench the throats of the once wet sand. Some of
the hail is falling into the sea but it does not stir a single ripple. All
stopped as a hole appeared and out came a man like no other. His eyes are blue like the purest part of all the seas and oceans.
Hair as dark as the darkest ocean floor. From his looks alone you could tell
he was stronger than any human. Now the hole fills and the and the sea is
released like a thousand horses it trots it trots. The strange man
hovers over the trotting water. The waves split around me. He
glances down at me then jumps just in time to land in front of me.
When he does the waves thrust forth faster and faster. Death,
destruction, screams of terror and fear. I stand frightened of the
man frightened of the land and then the man turns to the sand. On
the sand is a key bearing the name Poseidon.

Wow great imagery, and wonderful descriptions. It makes me wonder what happened to the writer? Did you happen to base the poem off the picture, because it does perfectly match the poem. I really liked it though, real great write. It made me interested, like reading a story, not a poem and then it mysteriously cut off at the end. Well Done.
