Distance

Distance

A Poem by Quail
"

You tell me, because im confused...I wrote this with no emotions

"

Memories were never bound to anything

Chains were never locked to a post, stuck in the ground, rusting slowly

Photos made to wrinkle, rip, catch fire

No frames to hold it steady, and still was never mentioned

Time blasts a fragrance unknown to the gentle mind

Miles become yards, yards become feet, feet become inches

Until the smallest foot between us is gone

Faded or destroyed with the wind

Then kindly picks up the debri and carries it off

And as we stand face to face our eyes locking the lock and breaking the key

As to have no return from the gaze we share beyond this moment

The fields, graveyards, houses, trees, and everything that was between us

IS GONE

Dissappeared within this world that has no boundaries

To be no magician act of anykind

And yet stuck between a line

That was never defined

Breathing a faintless breath that hitches along the wind

Leaves slowly jump up and down becoming more franctic

Soon mental thoughts become no more

Physical touch happens

Distance Is NO more

This one is really deep and kind of powerful, least that is feelings I got with this write. I like how you bolded some words up for more of an impact. Very well written!
