Cleopatra

Cleopatra

A Poem by Daydreamer
"

Awakening from a long slumber...

"
Sleep peaceful tonight
While I make moves
The king's in sight
Check mate.
Whispering sweet nothings
Showering your ego
All a distraction
I'm not like the rest,
They want to cuddle
I love the sound of coins
Did I tell you it's made of pure gold?
Sex is for the boring
I have bigger plans in mind
Conquerors rule my bloodline
So sleep peaceful with peasants
And I'll take what's rightfully mine....

Powerful words, like the chess reference. I got a real clear impression
of your Cleopatra

Hmm! Thought provoking and simplistic. Endless possibilities of the thoughts you were conveying. A great read.
