The Miscarriage

The Miscarriage

A Poem by Daydreamer

Feelings of regret
Seeped into the concrete walls
Of government property

I could sense her isolation
Subconsciously,
Passed it onto my unborn

I hope she can forgive me.

i see miscarriage of justice here...but also the sense of government making laws to rule our bodies...and decisions about our bodies that should be left up to us and our own conscience...
i love this poem...it reminds me a bit of gwendolyn brooks' poem Mother.
