Scantily Clad

Scantily Clad

A Poem by Kira Fulks

Scantily clad
she stood by the window
and watched him
pluck teal grapes off woody vines--
the pale of the day
blushed
and the scent of morning dew
filled the air with madness divine.

This is awesome & matches the skulking pose in the artwork perfectly. I love how your words are often double entendres but very subtle, not like the usual sensual poetry that almost shouts you down. I love how steamy this reads without going raw one bit (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I do my damndest :)
Now, would you pluck grapes quicker with a scantly clad girl watching you.
Would you just grab a bunch and rush over panting?
Grapes are a sort of love tonic and the morning dew does bring out the best in them.
Hope to hear through the grapevine how they got on, or off.

LOL...love your comment:) No rushing.. It's the anticipation that makes the magic palpable...:)
When our Grape Vines mature... I must remember
your poem and send my Lover out to gather Grapes.
I read that the Romans always had lots of Grapes at their Tables
on the huge Verandas where they enjoyed Romance.
Through the Centuries... Grapes are made into Wine.
Very seductive poem. truly, Pat

This is my new favorite love poem!
It's secretive, spontaneous, and honest.
Well, that's how it makes me feel, anyway.
Very nice!

This poem has a haunting surreal feel to it as the reader imagines the woman watching from her vantage point knowing she may become aroused by the grape picker. You did the artwork as well-fantastic!
