Holy Fire

Holy Fire

A Poem by Kira Fulks

Lightning flashed and thunder roared
mountains spewed fire forth
seas heaved and winds blew north
and the earth shook her womb with thrusting force
gliding over lips of weepers
over vales and further deeper.

Our planet is suffering. Our species have abused our earthly home for far too long and we are beginning to pay the price for it.

the earth shook her womb with thrusting force

wonderful expression there Kira and your posted artwork of greens infected with red for danger, speaks to me.

You are welcome Kira. Happy weekend to you.
These words of ancient wisdom should set us thinking. These words must convince us beyond doubt that we do not own this earth….We have mastered the earth but we have foolishly lost our fear of Nature's fury.
We have forgotten that we are residing on the fragile crust of our Mother Earth, above smouldering hot, liquid lava which flows out when excess pressure builds up or a crack in the crust develops! So we should become more careful or we will weep and go down deep into the earth.
