Once upon a time

Once upon a time

A Poem by Wolf

children dream
of magical lands
where fragile fairies sit
on the tips of their hands
hiding behind
boundless bright green hills
an arc of light
vibrant colors spill
vines climb the walls
of an enchanted castle
with a simple call
a fairy godmother appears
granting all wishes
taming all fears
just then they hear
dragons feet dragging
and a damsel in distress
who never quits nagging
goblins and trolls
that guard the place
always on patrol
move with no grace
witches cast their spells
as a giant stumbles around
a forest of elves
the antagonist
a knight defeats
children sit entranced
tucked beneath sheets
once upon a time

A beautiful poem. Children need imagination and dreams. I like the examples of story and myth. Thank you for the excellent poem.
