Quilt.

Quilt.

A Poem by Kiri J

'I know every inch,' he says.

'If you think I don't, show me your hidden inches

so I can see them, study them,

Get to know them.

All your inches have different voices

asking for different things.

'You are a patchwork quilt of skin, my love,

and I will love your every stitch.

Your quilt will keep me warm,

keep me colourful,

keep me comfortable while I'm sleeping.

'You sway in the breeze

when you're breathing,

You crease and you hide when you're folding

so don't go folding...

Lay your inches of stitches and patterns and questions

out beneath me

and stay sleeping.'
