Tomorrow can wait (More than the boy)

Tomorrow can wait (More than the boy)

A Poem by Kiri J
"

I've turned this into my own song and have changed the title to 'More than the boy.'

"

He makes my days warmer brighter
I stand taller, tread lighter,
We're both lovers and fighters,
He draws out the passion I thought that I lacked,
His hands can heal open wounds on my back,
He kisses my pieces of which I was ashamed,
Lifts me up when he says
My flaws and beauties are
One and the same.

He makes me laugh till I cry
And I cry till I burn
And I burn for the boy,
There's nothing I want more in this world
Than the boy.

Just when I'd nearly beaten me
Nearly defeated
This one came along
I fell in love and it
Freed me.
Now I've been in love several,
Numerous times
But only this once am I sure,
I am sure that he's mine.
This may not be forever,
May not see out the year
But I wanna say thank you for
Finding me here and now's all that matters;
I learnt that from you.
I believe it
'cause I believe that all you speak is true
So I'll take my foot off the pedal
And set it to coast,
Slow it right down and
Start making the most of a
Beautiful moment,
Beautiful day,
'cause tomorrow, well,
Tomorrow can wait.

He makes me laugh till I cry
And I cry till I burn
And I burn for the boy
'cause there's nothing I want
More in the world than the boy

He makes me laugh till I cry
And I cry till I burn
And I burn for the boy
'cause there's nothing I want
More
Than you.

So very beautiful. Thank you for describing love without sexual references. This is real. A very loving and glowing poem from an obviously honest and open heart (or at least trying hard to be :-)

Kiri, this was pretty cool, really enjoyed it. It has a real melodious flow to it, it would be great to hear it put to song. Wonderful job. Good luck with this fellah.

A excellent poem. I like the line. "And I burn for the boy." First time I read that line. So many strong lines in your poem. I like the ending. Poem was a pleasure to be able to read.

Man, so cool. Are these lyrics or just a poem to go with the EP? I think there's a danger with this type of content to make it, erm, 'corny'... but this is far from it. Brilliant job.
