Last moments spent with the one you love...

 

These are the last moments we share,
For what may be an eternity,
Know that I care,
Know that I love,
Know that I will never live a day without you in my mind,
Note the memories we share,
The great times we've had,
Never forget them,
And if you find someone better than I,
Dont crush me,
But leave me put back together,
Leave me whole,
I dont know whaat I'd do without you in my life,
I love you more than anything,
Many moments have I thought,
That this was just a dream,
And as the pain shoots through my heart,
And the tears crash upon the floor,
I realize that this is not a dream,
With these moments left,
The silence is all I can hear,
I dont know what to say,
I dont know what to do,
And when your gone,
I will know what I should've said,
And what I should've done...
and now the silence just flows over....
Just remember,
When your gone...
I will still love you....

One thing to fix though: "I dont know whaat I'd do without you in my life" - take the extra "a" out of "what"

This piece hits close to home. I have a friend with terminal cancer. This piece says everything I want to say to him, right now. It is peaceful, and serene. Thank you for writing something with such beauty.
