Terror

Terror

A Poem by Kita Tataki (Emily Conn)
"

Wow, I just found this, it had been under "Unpublished" for a while. I think it's pretty interesting :)

"
When death looked me straight in my eye
And leveled His dagger at my heart,
I said I would not bow
Nor cringe
Nor shrink from His eyes.
When I stood on the brink of blasphemy and stared into the great crater of hell
I swore not to fall, to tip over the edge, to be flung,
Screaming,
From the cliff.
But only one little word; an intrepid, callous word
Could strike fear in my heart.
One word to make me shake, to me sweat, to make me question my life
One word to make the heavens fall down around me
And shake the universe to its very core.
"Love" is terrifying.
