Welcome to my World

 

In the world of Josie

Things are never right, you say –

There’s never just black and white,

But instead always grey.

And in this world of mine

It seems that all is lost;

Seems like all I want to do is fight

No matter what the cost.

You seem to think

That I like to sulk and complain,

But sometimes I need you to stop and listen

To my cries of pain.

Have you ever thought

That it’s your help I’m asking for?

Ever wondered why

I cry more than I did before?

Maybe your perception of my world

Hits off the mark ever so slightly.

Maybe you take my so-called tantrums

Far too lightly.

Maybe one day you’ll see

How much I hate crying these tears.

Maybe one day you’ll understand that losing you

Over a stupid fight is one of my worst fears.

Until then

Allow me to introduce you to my world;

To this sometimes grey and lonely

Home of a broken girl…
