Shadow Girl

Shadow Girl

A Poem by *^*my*beautiful*zelda*love*^*

Look at me

A shy, helpless girl

You can talk to me

But I may not respond.

I drift through this life

Like a lifeless puppet;

I flow through the current

Swim through this sea of nobodies

Not many know my potential

Not many know I'm even here

Not many know I exist

But most of all, not many care.

Tongue-tied when I speak

I feel so very meek

I am so very weak

And yet, it's attention that I seek.

I am brave where needed

Yet cowardly inside

I am this anti-social being

My eyes are open wide

My bones are brittle like glass

My heart, as big as anything

And I learn quite fast

Surely there is someplace

Someplace a shadow girl could be.

Author's Note

*^*my*beautiful*zelda*love*^*
"I'm passive" I say in health; we learned the three types of people: agressive, assertive, and passive. Passive basically means, "Not standing up for yourself." You let the world walk all over you, but do you care? Probably not...
Passive is me
Passive, I will always be.
