My Lost Desires

My Lost Desires

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Before life catches up us, my thoughts
will have faded. The words,
stripped of freshly picked stars,
roll through emptiness of your gaze.

I made up a world that everyone
will envy me. I made myself
such tears that every tramp dreams of.

Light the morning in my night,
light kindle hope that will help me
recognize your shadow.
Abused cruelly by loneliness,
I look for pain that will soothe
my lost desires.

Kiss me before the last lighthouse
goes out. Waves washed our sins ashore.

dear Katarzyna Anna… someone far from Harbor hears your Prayers and guides you to the Light…
Where Shelter from the Storm will Keep you Safe and Warm. tenderly, Pat
