A Blue Jug of Fresh Desires

A Blue Jug of Fresh Desires

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Is what we call the soul worthy of love?
Can what is known as hate
become loneliness?
The seconds that slip out of
the lids are no longer
love stolen from the deaf-mute hope.

Give me your heart, let me feel
the softness of your touch,
let me feel your lemon lips
offering me a lost kiss.
Many years have passed since
the first meeting of our senses,
from the unification of
divergent feelings.

Yesterday evening started with
giving names to our
most beautiful thoughts.
When a poisonous gaze pierces
my stony skin, when the worried future
suddenly returns, I will learn
to live slowly, without complaint.

No, I'm not afraid of unfamiliar
dreams. I count the stars
in your sky, not one of them is mine.
Is it worth fighting for a whisper
if the scream is so solemn?

Look at your own sky. Do you see
the rainbow in bloom,
the source of which lies in my heart?
I bring you a blue jug of fresh desires.
Will you share the truth with me,
the last one in this extinct garden?

Let eternity come back,
let the moments when I drank
the darkness from the lips
of the evening come back.

I miss memories you built your home in.

Magnificent poetic expression in this write. Stanzas which touch the heart of this reader. A real feeling of losing out to what once was and is surely missed.
Great work.
