Dear Heart

Dear Heart

A Poem by Anaisa

Day after day the light extinguishes. Burning out like an angry candle. Oh sweet battered heart is today the day? For misery has become my shadow and suffering now holds my hand.

Tell me dear heart does abatement approach? I can feel it in my teeth. The end is coming. So I hold on to your strings and brace for impact. But it's useless, oh it's hopeless, for I know I'll not survive.

Cradle me in your tired arms then dear heart. And ready me for eternal slumber. Kiss my hurts and bind my broken bones. Lay 2 coins at my eyes. Weep for me and mourn for me. For the end is here.

Thank you! I really appreciate it :)
I think you have to be personally wounded to something so heartbreaking
the stabbing pain of a broken heart is equal as euphoric feeling of first being in love
Somber but beautifully written

This made my heart feel achy. I really relate to this piece, and I wouldn't wish this kind of feeling on anybody else. I hope you're well. Remember that every day is a new day :)
