That I'd ever find a guy like you,

That I didn't know what to think,

Author's Note

This is one of my favorite songs! I wrote it when I just started dating my ex boyfriend. I pretty much wrote it about how happy I was that I got to share all of my firsts with him. I've had a couple other boyfriends in the past but I never did anything with them. Never hugged them. Never held their hand. Never kissed them. Never went on a date. The most I did was I met my first boyfriend at the halfway mark between our houses. So when I found my boyfriend Doug, it was perfect. We met, then started talking, then held hands the third time I saw him. We hugged, and went on dates, and he gave me my first kiss. And there is no doubt in my mind that he was my first love. And even after we broke up this song has stayed one of my favorites. Yeah I was mad and upset and every other emotion that could possibly exist, but he will never stop being my first true boyfriend and my first true love, and I won't ever stop caring about him not matter how bad it ended.
