Author's Note

So this song is about my long distance relationship that had absolutely no distance involved. He live 5 minutes away, 2 miles. But he went to a different school. I would go weeks without seeing him cuz he was "just so busy" all the time. The only chance I would get to see him was on weekends and even then we couldn't hangout cuz he had "important" parties to go to with his friends. It killed me every time I would listen to a song about long distance relationships because it was exactly how I felt. Except for the fact that he didn't care about me enough to drive 5 minutes to come visit me. So in my mind, I feel like I can technically say that I was in a long distance relationship. I think the longest I went without seeing was 3 weeks. And when I finally saw him, was the day he broke up with me. I wrote this song while were together, even though I never told him about it. I don't think he knew how much it killed me that I couldn't see his face in person. That I had to look pictures up on facebook because I had to remember what he looked liked. It was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had.

I had the same issue. A boyfriend who couldn't be bothered to see me. It's surprising that you write it to be sad and tragic, but really you should be mad at him because we don't deserve to be treated like items! If the girlfriend isn't a top priority then the boy isn't worth it. They just make us angry. You should never have to put up with that again! Hopefully you'll just be mean to the next one! :P

Sorry to hear that! It's probably the worst feeling in the world. Being with a guy that you care so much about and even though you're so upset and angry at what he's doing to you, you don't want it to end. No one deserves to have to go through that. Sorry that you had to, too!

Nah, we just know to take it out on the next guy! Once it's over though things get better and sometimes you sit back and watch other girls put up with bad relationships for longer than you. I know of someone who's been in a relationship where their boyfriend doesn't respect or compliment them and if it were me, I would've got bored of that treatment a long time ago. I think because we've gone through it we'll be less willing to put up with bad guys in future!
