Live With A Broken Heart

This is another song I wrote after a breakup that made me feel like I was meant to live with a broken heart. The hidden message is: I've sewn it back together <3

I never thought that you would like me,

But I was wrong, I was wrong,

I never thought you'd have the courage to tell me,

But I was wrong, I was wrong,

And I never thought that it would go perfectly,

But I was wrong, yes I was wrong,

I never thought that you would break my heart,

Well I was wrong, oh I was dead wrong

Tell me why you had to hurt me,

Then leave me all alone to deal with the pain,

And tell me why I can't stop loving you,

Even when you left me in the pouring rain,

But I know that it had to happen,

Cuz I know that it's what's meant to be,

So now my destiny,
Is to live with a broken heart

Now that you're gone I see it all clearly,

You're with her,

While I'm left empty,

How could I have not known it,
All this time,

Cuz now I see it in your eyes,

I was just a game,

Made up for you to play,

Well why'd it have to go that way?

Tell me why you had to hurt me,

Then leave me all alone to deal with the pain,

And tell me why I can't stop loving you,
Even when you left me in the pouring rain,

But I know that it had to happen,

That I am nowhere to be found,

Because I am hiding from,

Those terrible memories,

Just like you hid from me,

When I thought everything,

Could be okay,

You turned your back and walked away

Your song has good potential. You might consider using the refrain 'But I was wrong, I was wrong,' throughout the song and not just in the first stanza. The words speak about a problem all of us face at times, trying to cope with disappointment and loss. We learn to deal with the pain--and move on.
