A Poem by Mademoiselle Kt
"

A story involving the gift of Telekinesis.

"

You sit in the corner.

Facing two blank walls.

Waiting.

Staring.

Prepared.

Ready.

You hear her come in behind you.

"Where is all your furniture,

All your clothes,

Where is everything?!"

Her presence annoys you.

You close your eyes and focus.

You hear a gasp

you open your eyes

and there it is.

You see blood all over the walls.

You smile, your job is done.

You get up, step over the bloody corpse,

and walk out the door.

Author's Note

Mademoiselle Kt
I was thinking about what is perhaps my favorite anime, Elfen Lied, and wanted to write a poem following a same basic storyline. If you haven't watched Elfen Lied, it's worth it. It's 13 episodes, and some are a little graphic, (probably the two worst scenes show a puppy being beaten to death and a small girl being ripped to shreds in front of her brother's eyes.) but it's amazing nonetheless.

I don't think I could watch a puppy being beaten to death. When I was six, I had a puppy that wandered next door to a bar. A drunk kicked it to death. The bartender brought it to our house in a Jack Daniels box. I've seen it and done it, ain't proud of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm rather open on the question of what's appropriate to art. William Burroughs said, "We've got to have the freedom to f**k up."
