The World

The World

A Poem by Wolf
"

A discussion between two gods about how this world is...

"
Spoken: What do you see in these creatures?
Filthy parasites running all over this world...
Ruining it! Destroying it! Eating it!
How can you care for them?!

Never take for granted what you first see,
Things are not what they seem to be...
I know that they will walk the right path with their world
For I have faith in this godforsaken world!

People are never
What they first show you!
They are always wearing a mask,
Like an actor on the stage,
At a festival in Venice?

A life lived in the dark,
A life nobody knows about!
A life nobody is true...
Spoken: Why do you still believe in them?!

Ohhh, my dear brother...
Nothing is what you see!
What you see is the face others want you to see...
Their life is a stage,
What they do is their mask...

Spoken: They are liars!
What do you like in a lie?!
They are always letting you down,
Disappointing you!

No matter what you shall say
My hopes are still high about that
Godforsaken world!

They live in a world of reputation and vanity!
Their masks are just make them trendy...
Watch them in society!
Watch them in their close friends circle!

See the difference?!
Their reputation is more important than their true selves.
One day they all shall realize what is important...
Living in a lie or living with dignity...

Spoken: How can you still say that?!!
They are parasites!
They will...

No matter what you or anybody else shall say
My mind will never change!
I shall always have hope...
For this godforsaken world!

I really enjoyed this, I have told you before but I will say it again, I love your combination of spoken word and poetry. It makes your style so unique among other things. When I read this I think of a wise old man doing the poetry part and some young scraggly guy doing the spoken part, but that's just my imagination. I like your outlook on the world, I wish I could feel that way but, as of lately, I have been having a hard time keeping faith in humanity.

Hi Zollie,
You are obviously into dark and deep. Very well written and again appears to be able to be set to music. Probably Heavy Metal. Keep it up.

You've a lot you're trying to express and perhaps an argument between two seperate "powers-that-be" is not the best way you can self-declare your views.

As a poem, you tied it well, fair flow. The only lines I must say that don't fit (BECAUSE of your own description) contain "godforsaken world".

Very well said! When I read something good, like this, I get kind of emotional! Our world is godforsaken and I can can't say I feel ya, cuz everyone interprets things differently, but I very much enjoyed it!!!!
