Smile

Smile

A Poem by Kyndri Hopkins

Sometimes you feel angry
Sometimes you feel down
Sometimes you're troubled
Sometimes you frown
But remember my friends in the dark of the night
When you're lying in bed when you've turned off the light
That small little voice in the back of your head,
It says to be happy
So hear what it said.
Smile my children, my comrades, my foes
Smile from your forehead to the tips of your toes.
This life s**t is hard but it only gets better
Don't wear joy on your sleeve, make a whole damn sweater.
Share your glee with the world don't hide it away
if you cordon it off then surely you'll pay.
We all feel alone,
We all feel un-pretty
So smile with me
And let's all feel less s****y.
