You Didn't Want it...Oh Well...(Ever the Tactician II)

You Didn't Want it...Oh Well...(Ever the Tactician II)

A Poem by L4rn13
"

Who would have thought...Your gift of poisoned despair would make me stronger...

"
Penancy for the moon doth shine
Her light reflected in your eyes
False hope projected yet
all that was expected
For you to see
Keep close to me...

Wishful thinking
Can feel all sinking
To the rhythm of the beating
The pump you chose to ignore
Not mine but your own...

Not dead but alone
To ponder with chiseled heart of stone
Though it was known
You would let me down.
Like many others past
I'll be safe behind this glass
And soon even death won't reach me.

Your feelings will fester
Soon to get the best of
Your mind, body and soul.
You'll believe its gold
I'll laugh and stand tall
As your body takes its tole.
Ha! Poisoned bubble wrap was your greatest gift of all...

About
Poem from a Poet... I shan't befuddle your mind With poems of vampires Or quadruple signs, But rather rhythmful beats. For I am a poet And express through torn seams The stories of the heart,.. more..
