A Poem by L4rn13
"

'Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a god.'-Jean Rostand

"
I have been there again today...
Almost lost it but kept the feeling at bay,
Modified and enslaved
Damn mind was never mine
And then I was made,
My body became my shrine
It is so divine
Ecstatic volts power again
Not lest everything be slain...
Chased by persistence and her gluttonous sons,
Undoing all the good she had done...
Young lass I gave it all to you
Leave the lies and live the world of truth
Ever indulge not in the jest
Revel in reality for it is best...

The last two lines are the best. And hey, I like that quote from Rostand.

Nicely written. You're progressing. Love the mood conveyed.

About
Poem from a Poet... I shan't befuddle your mind With poems of vampires Or quadruple signs, But rather rhythmful beats. For I am a poet And express through torn seams The stories of the heart,.. more..
