you ask where I go

when I get that

far away look in my eyes

and I really have

no answer to give you

I just know

that each time I travel

another mile

comes between us

because there is a reason or reasons for the travel...and it/they are not good.

communication is the key in a relationship, as this poem so well expresses...and when that is gone...
pack the bags.

i've gone there, and been with partners who have gone there...my current partner and i have vowed, we will not go there...we will communicate, or else.

like the conciseness of this.

It is this road that takes us the point where are ready to jump off - it's a long highway to travel alone!
That far away look usually accompanies a face that is void of emotion - just cold, emptiness and the warmth that was once there is no more. It is then time to move on and travel another way, or take out the road blocks and call in the bulldozer!
