Can you hear me yet, God?

Can you hear me yet, God?

A Poem by Lotus Allgoode

It is predetermined that we will never be wholly satisfied,
we will always want more.
More fleeting, resentment-filled
codependence.
More desperate
loneliness.
More unreachable
goals
and unattainable
ambitions.
More scarring
intrusions.
More sacrifice
disguised as compromise.
More shreds of innocence
ripped away,
sans resistance.
More grime
caked onto skin.
Even more filth
suffocating minds.
More red-hot
rage.
More disregard for
positivity.
More animalistic
ferocity.
More clear-minded, thought-lacking, drowned-in-drink
impulse.
More meaningless thoughts
to fill a dull, defeated
mind.

Sounds like the ungrateful, never-satisfied mentality and nature a man.

Seems you found a bottle of the good stuff... by accident or design? I have heard others try not nearly as well though at least twice as long to express a similar thought.

Personally I would have put "mind" at the end of the previous line - but that's just me.
