Porcelain Figurine

Porcelain Figurine

A Poem by L.M.Warde

Here rest the fragments of my mind,
shattered and strewn about the floor
I'm so confused and so lost
Where am I going?
Where have I been?
Why did you leave me behind?

My memories once had such meaning,
they kept me so safe and warm
But now they linger and haunt me
What will I see?
What have I seen?
In this topsy-turvy world, I'm only dreaming

No wonderful moments can bring me joy,
my loved have all packed and gone
They've given up this foolish battle
When will I live?
How will I die?
A vagrant in time, I'm still just a lifeless toy.
