Surrender

Surrender

A Poem by Amina.

If only I knew
what I know today,
it would have ended
differently.
You wouldn't have to cry,
and I wouldn't had to lie
that the future
brought hope.

I would've said the truth,
but I didn't know
it would make you cry.
Now you stand in the rain
waiting for a train
to take you home.
So you can finally surrender
and start your life again.

The rain on my grave
feels like your tears
falling on my cheek.

Ah! What a breathtakingly beautiful piece of writing it is...
"The rain on my grave
feels like your tears
falling on my cheek." - I simply loved these lines a lot...they are so descriptive and with such outstanding imagery
Great work :)

I think the ending of this writing was the strongest part. I liked the flow, the simplicity. I don't know how I feel about the rhymes. I want to encourage you to keep on writing. I know you are young, it helps you grow.
