LIVING WITH A MEMORY

LIVING WITH A MEMORY

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Living With A Shadow...

Living with your memory…

is like a harmonious musical melody in a rich mellifluous voice

created by cool, feathery breezes

on soft flowing blue waters reaching across calm ocean waves

Like fingertips…

softly brushing tiny wisps of hair from my face

Emotions take me on a nostalgic journey

as I listen to you singing in soft honey coloured' moonlite'

I thought I saw you pass…

as the waves rippled and rolled into the shore

I thought I smelled your scent ~

in the fragrance of the flowers in the air

Standing here alone I wonder ~ can you hear my heart

as you walk thru' my memories and thoughts

The thoughts of you haunt me night and day

like riding on the wings of clouds

Elusive thoughts fill my soul...

as I clutch my vision of you to my aching breast

leaving me with a burning seed of fire

a longing in my soul

Oh how I long for your return ~

How I wish I knew who you were

A face not so clear but oh so very near...

as I walk along beside you in my dreams

This reminds me of a girl I had a crush on in high school. I was always too shy to talk to her so we never got together. I still think of her now and then. I can see you have ethereal influences in your writing which flows with beautiful images and the photo itself helps to add to the feeling of the poem. You did a wonderful job on this.
