LOVE TAMES

Why are you the one to stay with me- stand by me?

You,  knowing what I am...

You,  knowing what I've done...

what I have become

The sweet words you whispered brought me back to the world...

gave me air to breathe into my dying soul

 a soul so bruised...so used
You tamed my wild heart, soothed my restless spirit

But I have to ask... “Why, why did you choose me?"
I never thought I was special… yet with your loving devotion

you proved me wrong
Your eyes… the color of the cobalt sky-

the depth of deep blue oceans

that sparkle with the kindness of enduring love

You saved me from a painful death
with your touch…so soft... your words so kind

I keep you deep within my heart

Thoughts of you whisper in my dreams

painting lucid memories that fade in and out of precious time…

moving soundlessly in a faint breeze like fairy dust in the winds

carrying them to the Heavens amongst the golden moon
into the horizons of the Universe and dancing stars…

You’ll lie with me in love….

Forever and forever more
