Conceited B***h

Conceited B***h

A Poem by Brittni

I'm not conceited, I'm just confident in myself. I am who I am, and I HATE negativity.

Conceited B***h.

Yes, walking with my shoulders back, head held high.

Hair whipping as I strut, a smile on my face

Looking as the haters stare.

They whisper behind me, wondering why I am the way I am.

They know everything about me it seems.

Still they think I'm the conceited b***h.

The ruler of popularity and theif of mens hearts.

What they don't know is this.

I'm happy with myself, I smile, laugh, and sing.

I bring others up, haters can't push me down.

They don't know I only soar higher.

Their spite to me makes me sad.

Because they don't love themselves,

As they should be loved.

I love myself, I feel good.

I'm walking on sunshine,

While they wallow in self-loathing.

And the entire time they hiss

"She's such a conceited b***h"

I laugh, turn, and smile.

Knowing that I can't be pushed down.

Author's Note

This poem was written after I had been called a conceited bitch because I have confidence in myself. I'm not cocky, I just love who I am and I'm happy.

LOVE THIS! I have faced much of the same in my life. I have always been confident in my writing and because of this have often faced ridicule from fellow writers. I think self confidence is very important in the world we live in. Others will not think positively about you if you don't think positively about yourself. You are a wonderful writer, that much is certain. Don't let anyone get you down. Keep walking with your head held high!

I'm 23 years old and I've always found the most comfort in my writing because I feel like everyday, you need a change. You feel a need to be someone different and writing is a chance to be someone els.. more..
