Greta

Greta

A Poem by Jamila
"

Messiah?

"
She stands
aloft the precipice
peering upon
the gathered
throng
in frenzied
deluded thrall
"The world is burning"
she scolds
with emotionless grace
as the raindrops
of true reality
stream
down
her pallid face.

Yes, the world is burning and all ignorant people do is add fuel to the fire. But you can't cry over everything that goes wrong in this world. To do so is to show that one cannot handle it. Cry if you must, but know that your tears in the end avail absolutely nothing, and that this world is on its crash course to Hell which will not be averted. If you realize that things happen and there's nothing you can do to stop it, you will be much better off in the long run.

This makes me think of the intro to a great motion picture screenplay.. I would watch (or read) that.

This msg seems to be iconic for our times, when anyone can stand up in front of throngs & effect a movement, when heroes are so easily worshiped, when everyone seems to be hungry for leadership, but all we get are sad replicas of leaders! I love this: "frenzied deluded thrall" -- says so much in so few words! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

lovely poem Miss Jamila :)
Personally i like greta but sometimes she can get annoying because she always keeps complaining..
she also suffers from OCD which increases her anxieties about the world .
Much ado about nothing, you made a great point here
