~Umbrella Plauge~

~Umbrella Plauge~

A Poem by LanternBounty

~

As she cries you hold her hand.

You pick her up and help her to stand.

All she needs is a hug from a compassionate heart.

Someone to hold her, as her world falls apart.

~

You wonder how someone could pass her by.

You heal her wounds, praying she won't die.

No one she could ever know would love her more.

You worry she'll go back to the way she was before.

~

Your love is an umbrella, sheltering her from the rain.

You hold her tight, easing all her pain.

She suffers from sin, she seems to have no light.

She's losing to the pain of the Devil's fight.

~

Why should she belive the things she has heard?

They've never been proved. Just pointless words.

But the thing you've given she could have never found.

The gift of compassion that with her pain is being bound.

~
