The fact that I can curl my tongue

Or that my skin is fair?

What makes me me?

Is it my experience?

The world that I have seen?

Living with depression

Or the God that set me free?

What makes me me?

Is it my clichés?

The things obviously true?

A nerdy fangirl blogger

Or my LGBTQ?

What makes me me?

Is it what I cherish?

All that I hold so dear?

Like hot showers and tight hugs

Or words said so sincere?

What makes me me?

Should I choose just one?

I think it's all of the above.

My nature and my nurture,

My truths and what I love.
