circle the night

circle the night

A Poem by Lara
"

fighting inertia

"

maybe I will pull on shoes
go walk awhile
and
maybe I will have morning
go walk awhile
and
maybe I & birds'll
go walk awhile
and
maybe have drowsey stars
in tree tops
go walk awhile
and
maybe trace a cyclist
and truant cat out to
go walk a while

maybe I will pull a twig
on my scruffy hair
and walk awhile
go
find alive things there
maybe slowly they'll
go walk awhile
and
maybe fleeting tho up-close they'll
go walk awhile

maybe I will pull on fishing string
the wastrel by the shore
go walk awhile
and
tow the cloudy avatar
down trail aways to
go walk awhile
and
with the sun maybe warm
and... hours how they move:
maybe I will pull small light
in my shoes and,
who's to say? --

maybe I will glow-walk awhile,
and
circle the night

About
I like poetry, though I don't presume to write it as much as write about things that feel like poetry when they happen,.. with the lucky-dip clause of introspection. Ironically, I look forward to lea.. more..
