if you're keeping score....i'm losing.

i think that life is cheating.

and when the world has won out

every part of me

is nothing anymore.

 

my smile must belong to you...

cuz i cant seem to find it.

i think you stole my heart

cuz i cant feel the beat.

 

i feel like letting go

is the only thing that could make it better.

and every little thing

is a reminder of what i cant have.

 

how can you break my heart from so far away.

who knew the words "you are absolutely beautiful"

could feel like this.

You really handled this well. You have a fine lyrical style, and good poetic instincts. The repetition at the end works really well. It captures the emotions -- it's bad enough to hurt because of wanting something you can't have, but then for the person not to even know, it makes it doubly painful. Also, I think that life is cheating sometimes, too. Great job.
