The Lion and the Internet

The Lion and the Internet

A Poem by Lathen Griffiths

A lion on the Internet
was typing with his claws,
putting all the world to rights
with his caps lock roars,
big and brave and fierce
on his keyboard in his house,
yet when he put his laptop down
he was just a little mouse.

I really enjoyed this poem a lot. It truly speaks to this time in technological history we live in. If the internet has taught us anything it's that civility is dead. Accountability only works in IRL. OMG I need to stop with internet speak it's destroying my mind WTF. Actually I can't help myself because I have a FOMO when it comes to these things.

Oh, how clever! I'm not sure if you are mocking someone else or poking fun at yourself, either way I love it!
It's got a tab bit of genius to it.

Lol and I'm pretty positive mine will always be blue...lol :) It's ok.
Yeh, that's people. Brave in a faceless crowd, cowards when personally confronted. Easy to hide behind a keyboard. But let's see them take up a microphone and rant in front of live people. Keen observation, well written. Nicely done, Sir.

That’s true. Unfortunately it seems to be a sign of the times.

Good morning Lathe. So much truth in these words. I reckon there are many keyboard warriors out there who hide behind an avatar, but in the real world would scurry away from trouble, trembling. Made me smile because your words are so sweet and yet they have a steel like edge to them too. Happy new year Lathe. Hope 2022 is a good one for you and yours.
