Echo

Echo

A Poem by Lathen Griffiths
"

I’ve always enjoyed visiting spaces, ie churches etc, largely due to the ambience and sound within, as kids if we found a space that echoed we would usually just repeat the word ‘echo’ over and over.

"
Listen,
Listen,
There it is,
There it is,

There’s an echo,
There’s an echo,
Can you hear it?
Can you hear it?

Hello,
Hello,
La la la,
La la la,

There’s an echo,
There’s an echo,
Echo.
Echo.

I like this
I like this
what was that song by the Delphonics?
La La means I love you
yes that was it
yes that was it......
When we play tennis on Saturdays...we are at one end of the courts...and if we yell there is an echo all the way down on the other end.
eerie how that happens...
this poem is fun, but it also reminds me how we are reflections of ourselves...
and often echoes reflect our inner voice.

Wow! though this is simply written but it holds a power, the power of the voice, the voices of the past, our voices... and as I was reading it, I was reading it with a voice and echo! so creative my friend!

This really is a unique post plus. has a smile wrapped around it too! Have read about echoes and echoing before but never in your way. Am now tempted to see what happens if i try shouting inside a wardrobe> Maybe the dust-mites,spiders etc will self-evict. Echoes are a form of unexpected magic at times.

Yes, the simple wonder of child hood. You remind us well of those half forgotten days. Thank you, my friend.
