Liquid Solidity

Liquid Solidity

A Poem by Little Whisper

Are you sleeping
...Churning the concrete
into a hazey dream...
A passing thought
The slight stirring of
A luke warm, swirley clouded cup
of weak coffee?
These walls
  Dew drenched drops
of solidity...cling quivering.
Double edged constant rays piercing
the petrified flame.
These walls
Awake in the madness of
illusive illusion...
Or could it be mercury submerged
in brilliant yellow?
Here the whispers echo.
Vessels purge milky red.
Worthiness evades me...
  taunting and teasing.
Yet
  I'll reach
and sleep no more.

No matter which way one looks at them, these words hold meaning, whether my various interpretations are spot on, or a million miles off mark, matters not.... what matters, is that they are considered by more folk who frequent these pages...and more often....... Neville

Could not help but read this a few times. It's really gripping. I like the interesting structure.I also liked your switching between ellipsis and full stops to make the flow of the poem different... Good work.
