If My Sky Were Grey

If My Sky Were Grey

A Poem by Laura Kate

If my sky were grey
I'd wonder why you'd want to stay.
If my sky were blue
I'd question if your love were true.
if my clouds should burst
would my rainfall quench your thirst?
And if my sun shone bright
might you try to steal the light?
If through the storms you wait
I'd believe you could be fate
if once skies have fallen you stand
I'd warm you up and take your hand
if after all you were the one
I'd never let go, even after the sun shine's gone.
