Solstice Moon

Solstice Moon

A Poem by Lawrence Parlier

A quiet bliss falls all along the northern beyond
Laughter rising
Arms linked against solitude

The car radio sprays magnetic pulses of electric jazz
into the closing gap between hearts as
incandescent hopes rise under moonlit skies

Mysteries revealed under soft blankets of night
