This Easter

This Easter

I look outside and see the sky so blue

And wonder how I could be made so new

By the Lord our God, our Messiah and King

That came into my life as the angels sing

Jesus still loved us as he took his last breath

He was beaten and died an excruciating death

But He rose again on a very mournful day
People wanted him to come back they’d say

When He came alive He made the world go on
Like the Sun that comes up every day at dawn

This Easter don’t focus on candy and bunnies
But focus on the one who paid the price with his money

His money-His blood that poured down a tree
Just for you and just for me

When we didn’t love Him, He loved us
So love Him with nothing but love-no fuss

Live for Jesus, be ready to die for Him
Be excited and happy don’t act grim

For there will be gifts upon gifts for His followers in Heaven.





So love Him more than ever this Easter just like He loved us.

Although I am Jewish & don't believe in Jesus or celebrate Easter, the message is a nice one. People lose the true meaning of holidays - the reason it started in the first place. It isn't about gifts & whatnot. Very nice!

I'm 13 and people sometimes try to stop me from writing since its 'not cool' and because its 'not what teenagers do'. But I still push on and try to fulfill my dreams writing no matter what obstacles are in the way. :)
