Dance in the Rain

Dance in the Rain

You say I love you, I break your heart.
You give it to me, I tear it apart.
I'm telling you in the moment of truth
that you're only fourteen; you hide from your youth

The difference between you and me
is that you suffer while I live carefree.
Your Saturdays are filled with pain
while I laugh and dance in the rain.

I don't mean to be so cruel,
but we're not even in high school!
Here's a bit of some advice:
tone down the drama and just play nice!

The difference between you and me
is that you suffer while I live carefree.
Your Saturdays are filled with pain
But I laugh and dance in the rain.

So don't try to grow up too fast
These years of childhood won't last.
One moment, you're just getting bread,
and then you're lying, cold and dead.

The difference between you and me
is that you suffer while I live carefree.
Your Saturdays are filled with pain
While I laugh and dance in the rain.

So while you're young, don't lose your chance,
come out in the rain and dance!
Ignore those in so much pain;
just let them think that you're insane.

Don't let us differentiate.
Because of this, don't start to hate.
Don't let yourself be filled with pain.
Just come outside and dance in the rain!
