Back to Then

Back to Then

A Poem by LeeAnne Peytonn

I don't breathe
To pass the time.
I don't cry
To make them understand why.
I don't do anything,
But I also do everything.
This aching hole
Thats left me stranded
For seven years,
Has taken me back down
Again-
And again-
And again-
I am a lost soul
Dwindling to nothing,
Just as the sun trades places with the moon.
Take me home-
Take me away from the thoughts of death-
Take me back to an innocent day-
When i didn't have to wonder
If I'd end up this way.

I do understand the wish in the poetry.
"Take me back to an innocent day-
When i didn't have to wonder
If I'd end up this way. "
The above lines. A wish, most of us shall know often. Thank you LeeAnne for sharing the amazing poetry.

Quick nitpick, you have a lowercase "i" in the second to last line. I really like the poem :) So emotional. Just like your others, the pain in this poem is very clear. Great job :)
