Lonely Me

Lonely Me

A Poem by LeeAnne Peytonn

i don't understand
i don't see the light.
without these thoughts
maybe my life would be bright.
i am different.
i am torn.
things are different now.
i'm no longer me.
i don't know who i am.
i feel insignificant.
so little.
i have no purpose in this endless abyss.
i have no eyes in this forlorn mist.
leave me be-
alone,
like the cascading sea.

The poem is true. Sometime we need silence and time to gather mind and thoughts.
"leave me be-
alone,
like the cascading sea."
I have known the above lines often in my life. Thank you LeeAnne for sharing the excellent poetry.
