The Wind

against the eternal wind-

stops with gentle snow

Words can't quite describe why I like this poem. It could just be taken so many different ways and means so much on a deeper level. I'm not sure if you meant it that way, but it's brilliant either way.

Gah. My brain is overwhelmed with the brilliance of it. So simple, yet perfect.

I do think this is your best poem. It's one of the best I've ever read, actually. Really, really, really nicely written. It's the right blend of emotions, and emphasis, and just... MRWEH.

Yeah, I'll stop babbling now, but excellent, excellent, glorious write! :)

Thanks! Ha, well it wouldn't be much of a haiku if it had another format!

Lovely poem, but I can't describe why I like it. The words are crisp and short, and it is so simple, it is brilliant! Great job on this. Good luck in the contest!

Yes...
A verry good haiku. This and your other one "The Oak" both stand out.

So simple yet complex. I love the imagery in this, friend. A lovely tree against wind that never stops churning and then softened by snow...I picture it so well and it is so beautiful how you put your words together. Great write.

This poem is brief, and yet so meaningful all the same! You manipulated words in such a new and fresh way, and gave me a new perspective about life. Exceptionally written, excellent work!
