Written: March 8th, 2007. For Creative Writing class.

Try to think-

Try to remember.

Where we were-

One last December.

I can’t tell-

If this is how.

But I know we were closer-

Than we are now.

Somewhere between the weeks-

Our life turned into days.

And now I find myself- dreaming of different ways.

Things- are so different now.

Don’t-

Know if I know how.

Not sure of what to say-

I stopped loving you yesterday.

Out of curiousity, what were your guidelines for this poem as you said it was for your Creative Writing class? I think it's...kind of choppy, but in that way, it also has a steady rhythm. I think this could be deeper. However, this is one of those poems that makes me imagine more of the circumstance than given and I like that. The last line keeps echoing in my head; it's my favorite. Thanks for sharing! God bless.

Really good poem I thought. I liked the flow and rhyme and format. I think you really did a good job, hope you got a good grade in creative writing class! You deserve it. ;)
